The two-month initiative encourages employees to make a difference in causes of their choice
TAMPA, FL (Oct. 11, 2021) — Staffing and solutions firm Kforce is expanding its Day of Giving and encouraging employees to make a difference all fall long with its Season of Impact campaign.
The two-month initiative is a natural extension of the firm’s dedication to community engagement, charitable action and corporate social responsibility. While Kforce employees give back to the community year-round through corporate programs, Season of Impact provides a focused effort to maximize their contributions during a meaningful time.
“Community impact is a steadfast passion of our firm and our people,” said Crystal Early, Kforce Director of Recognition and Consultant Care. “But this united approach over a dedicated time period gives us the opportunity to see the powerful impact the Kforce family can make in our communities when we join together."
Employees are encouraged to give their time, talent and treasure to the organizations of their choice. The firm will offer several opportunities, including options for Kforce's four corporate-sponsored charities and other organizations supported by firm leaders. Kforcers can also choose causes they are passionate about or that carry personal meaning for them or their families.
The focus isn't on the specific organization helped or amount raise, but the purpose behind it all.
“If all we do is succeed financially, then we have failed as stewards,” Kforce CEO Dave Dunkel said. “I’ve seen the difference it makes when we are driven not just by corporate success, but by our desire to shape a better future. Together, we have the power to positively transform the world, one life at a time.”
Though many events are based in Tampa, where the firm is headquartered, employees all across the country will be participating in causes that resonate with them. The firm was named a 2021 One Tampa Bay honoree for its philanthropic culture and has long raised up stewardship and community engagement in its Core Values.
Planned opportunities include the following:
- Best Buddies Champion of the Year Gala, Oct. 29. This event is chaired by Kforce Chief Marketing Officer Andy Thomas and supports one of the firm’s corporate-sponsored charities.
- Kforce Kids’ STEM Week, Nov. 8-15. The virtual event will feature engaging demonstrations by STEM experts, including representatives from Junior Achievement and Special Operations Warrior Foundation, two of the firm’s corporate-sponsored charities.
- Tampa Bay Heart Walk, Nov. 20. This event benefits the American Heart Association and is supported by AHA board member and Kforce Chief Operations Officer Kye Mitchell.
- Food drive benefitting local Feeding America pantries, all November. Kforcers nationwide can donate food to a local pantry to help people and families in need this holiday season. Feeding America is also a corporate-sponsored charity.
